We also work with young actors who are under the age of 16 years old in a wide number of ways, including preparing them for:
We can work utilising group courses for the optimum impact,
There are number of options where you can work on a one-to-one basis with our tutors for a more personalised approach where the content of sessions will be designed specifically for you and your personal requirements, be that developing yourself as an actor or preparing for specific auditions. This can include being guided through any application process, selecting speeches if needed, and developing your work to give you the best possible chance of success.
Sessions are therefore bespoke for each individual, and could be taken as a one-off session to share your monologues and gain feedback, or as a block of sessions where you will develop your work over a number of weeks.
The usual way we work with young actors is on a one-to-one basis. However, we can work with more than one young person at a time if people would like to share a slot to cut down the cost or help build confidence by working with others.
Please see the list of questions about how we work with young actors.
If you have any further questions then please get in touch.
This will ultimate depend on what is required from you.
A single session could be you sharing your work - be it audition material for an audition, scholarship or bursary, and gaining feedback and being redirected, or if you are booking a block of sessions you may develop either your specific material, or acting techniques and skills in general, including working on your voice, movement, character and script work. We can of course also help with speech selection and can take you through the process of auditions step-by-step.
You will discuss with us before your session the content you would like to cover so that this can be specifically prepared for you.
We will book in a mutually convenient one-hour time slot and meet online.
You will need a working camera on your laptop or tablet, and a good internet connection.
As you will no doubt be working practically, you will also need some space to move in.
Our tutors have had a great deal of success working with students preparing for auditions, including for bursaries, scholarships and entrance to drama schools. We have worked on LAMDA graded exams, as well as all major examination boards at GCSE and A-Level.
They have also had professional industry experience as well as sitting on audition panels at drama schools, youth theatres and bursary / scholarship selections.
Our coaches are all well qualified, both as teachers and as experts in their disciplines. They are all fully DBS checked to ensure care and safety.
The nature of the work being recorded and set as assignments means that parents and guardians can have full access to all that is being sent out to students.
