There are number of options where you can work on a one-to-one basis with our tutors for a more personalised approach where the content of sessions will be designed specifically for you and where abouts you are in your application process. This can include being guided through the application process, selecting your speeches, and working on the monologues to get them to the highest possible standard.
The one-to-one sessions are bespoke for each individual, and could be taken as a one-off session to share your monologues and gain feedback, or as a block of sessions where you will develop your work over a number of weeks.
Whilst we recommend that students undertake group courses, as there are real benefits of sharing your work with others and gaining feedback as well as watching other people's work, it is possible to undertake either the Drama School Prep course or the Drama School Bootcamp as an individual course. You will still receive the same feedback from tutors on your work after each session as well as on your final monologue, but you would undertake the course itself solo. The content would be the same as that outlined on these course information pages.
Cost: From £50 per hour.
(Discounted rate for block bookings).
Please see the list of questions about the one-to-one sessions course. If you are looking to undertake one of the courses solo then please see the specific course questions for more details.
If you have any further questions then please get in touch.
This will ultimate depend on what is required from you.
A single session could be you sharing your monologues and gaining feedback and being redirected, or if you are booking a block of sessions you may develop your speeches over a few weeks as well as working on your voice, movement, character, script work and acting technique.
You may want to book a specific session to focus on Shakespeare and Classical Theatre, or on selecting your monologue.
You will discuss with us before your session the content you would like to cover so that this can be specifically prepared for you.
We will book in a mutually convenient one-hour time slot and meet online.
You will need a working camera on your laptop or tablet, and a good internet connection.
As you will no doubt be working practically, you will also need some space to move in.
Our tutors have had a great deal of success working with students applying for drama schools, and have supported countless students gaining places at some of the best drama schools in the world, including RADA, LAMDA, Guildhall, Bristol Old Vic., Central School for Speech and Drama, the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, East 15 and Rose Bruford.
They have also had professional industry experience as well as sitting on audition panels at drama schools.
The course is the same, you will just undertake the work without the use of the forum, meaning you will only receive feedback from the tutor and will not see the work of others.
Whilst we recommend undertaking the course as part of a group we realise that this is not for everyone and we can therefore accommodate students taking the course solo.
You will still receive the same feedback from tutors and will still be able to ask questions in the same manner as those on group courses, with clear set times when a tutor is online and can be asked any questions you may have so that an immediate response is given. There is also the option of posting questions for tutors to answer at other points in the week.
Our coaches are all well qualified, both as teachers and as experts in their disciplines. They are all fully DBS checked to ensure care and safety.
The nature of the work being recorded and set as assignments means that parents and guardians can have full access to all that is being sent out to students.
